Herzzentrum Ludwigshafen installs an Apollo CXS MFI System

At the "Herzzentrum Ludwigshafen" the third Apollo CXS MFI System in Germany has been installed. From mid-December the first patients are planned to be examined at the "Zentrum für Herzrhythmusstörungen" under supervision of Prof. Karlheiz Seidl.

University hospital Jena: MFI system henceforward available in the clinical routine

The cardiological department of the university hospital Jena can revert to a further predictive diagnostic procedure. With the Magnetic Field Imaging system (MFI system), the risk of sudden cardiac death induced by ventricular tachycardia, for example concerning post infarction patients and other high-risk groups, can be analyzed.

Magnetic field imaging in ischemia diagnostics
Jena, May 30th 2008. About 800.000 intracardiac catheter examinations per year are executed in Germany. The percentage of patients whose examination results in a therapeutical measure is just about 30-40 %. By means of a magnetic field imaging system, a new cardiological diagnostic procedure, an alternative non-invasive possibility for ischemia diagnostics may be found in the future. This issue is currently being followed up in a clinical trial.

Erfurt (Germany), February 13th 2008. More than 50,000 visitors have been registered at this year’s Arab Health in Dubai, U. A. E. This congress is a must-see, especially for globally acting manufacturers of medical technology. The products of the German manufacturers of medical technology are thereby in great demand. In this context BMDSys company, Jena, Germany, presented the new cardiac diagnostic system Apollo CXS to the international public.
